In 1971, my Dad embarked on a concept project, “Beyond a Shadow of Doubt.” This was to include a short story, music, and perhaps a fantasy animated short film. It is based on adventures a boy and his bear encountered “In the land of Change.” My father’s metaphysical fantasy never came to fruition. Working with his close friend, the talented, nutty, pure-humored Dick Campbell, produced ten epic folk songs we constantly played over our custom sound system at home in Coldwater Canyon. Reel to Reels, of course! The album is a fantastic set of acoustic demos with pure child-like innocence as its theme. Here is the title cut, one of a few song variations.
